Bitcoin (BTC) began the month with the deepest retrace of the cycle, falling to the $56,000 support level. The retrace raised alarms for some crypto investors and market watchers, who feared the bull run had ended.

Since then, the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization has recovered crucial levels, and analysts have identified bullish patterns on BTC’s chart, suggesting that it might finally be out of the woods.

Is Bitcoin Out Of Danger?

As the May 1st retrace developed, crypto analyst Rekt Capital highlighted the similarities between Bitcoin’s 2016 and 2024 post-halving performances. He suggested that the flagship cryptocurrency’s price development came “as no surprise,” as it was mirroring the “post-Halving Bitcoin Danger Zone” of 2016.

Per the analyst, the “Danger Zone” is officially over, which BTC is “celebrating with a good bounce from the Re-Accumulation Range Low support.” He stated that May could be an “unremarkable” month for the largest cryptocurrency, potentially continuing next month. However, Bitcoin is “running out of unremarkable months” before the beginning of this cycle’s “Parabolic Phase.”

Additionally, Rekt Capital considers that BTC’s sell-side momentum is starting to show signs of slowing down, “slowly developing a curl against the $60,000 support.” Per the post, Bitcoin must continue to hold this support zone for the curl to “progress and eventually lift up.”

Similarly, analyst Bluntz identified a bullish engulfing pattern on Thursday, considering there would be “a solid engulfing on the daily close.” To the analyst, it appeared that the “next push-up into ATH has started.”

This morning, Bluntz confirmed the pattern formation and announced to his followers that this cycle’s Round 2 began, which would lead to a “fresh ATH.”

BTC’s Strength Could Lead The Price To 6-Figures

Following the bullish analysis, CryptoJelle stated that BTC “is looking good.” Per his post, the cryptocurrency “has nearly completed a full reset,” as it’s back to the 100-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA).

Additionally, the chart displays a “bullish MACD cross” below the zero line and the “first higher low in a long time,” suggesting a positive divergence.

Jelle highlights that BTC’s price is again pushing into the trendline that “has pushed prices lower over the past weeks.” Despite the higher low, he points out the necessity of reclaiming the $63,000 support zone before new highs come.

For these new highs, he set an $82,000 target for BTC’s price, suggesting that a 6-figure price for the flagship cryptocurrency is possible during this cycle.

The analyst emphasizes Bitcoin’s performance this cycle, stating that the community has under-appreciated its strength during this bull run. He considers that the run is not over, as the “Halving” event occurred just a few weeks ago, and BTC’s price has been consolidating around the previous cycle’s all-time high for a long period.

Meet Samuel Edyme, Nickname – HIM-buktu. A web3 content writer, journalist, and aspiring trader, Edyme is as versatile as they come. With a knack for words and a nose for trends, he has penned pieces for numerous industry player, including AMBCrypto, Blockchain.News, and Blockchain Reporter, among others.

Edyme’s foray into the crypto universe is nothing short of cinematic. His journey began not with a triumphant investment, but with a scam. Yes, a Ponzi scheme that used crypto as payment roped him in. Rather than retreating, he emerged wiser and more determined, channeling his experience into over three years of insightful market analysis.

Before becoming the voice of reason in the crypto space, Edyme was the quintessential crypto degen. He aped into anything that promised a quick buck, anything ape-able, learning the ropes the hard way. These hands-on experience through major market events—like the Terra Luna crash, the wave of bankruptcies in crypto firms, the notorious FTX collapse, and even CZ’s arrest—has honed his keen sense of market dynamics.

When he isn’t crafting engaging crypto content, you’ll find Edyme backtesting charts, studying both forex and synthetic indices. His dedication to mastering the art of trading is as relentless as his pursuit of the next big story. Away from his screens, he can be found in the gym, airpods in, working out and listening to his favorite artist, NF. Or maybe he’s catching some Z’s or scrolling through Elon Musk’s very own X platform—(oops, another screen activity, my bad…)

Well, being an introvert, Edyme thrives in the digital realm, preferring online interaction over offline encounters—(don’t judge, that’s just how he is built). His determination is quite unwavering to be honest, and he embodies the philosophy of continuous improvement, or “kaizen,” striving to be 1% better every day. His mantras, “God knows best” and “Everything is still on track,” reflect his resilient outlook and how he lives his life.

In a nutshell, Samuel Edyme was born efficient, driven by ambition, and perhaps a touch fierce. He’s neither artistic nor unrealistic, and certainly not chauvinistic. Think of him as Bruce Willis in a train wreck—unflappable. Edyme is like trading in your car for a jet—bold. He’s the guy who’d ask his boss for a pay cut just to prove a point—(uhhh…). He is like watching your kid take his first steps. Imagine Bill Gates struggling with rent—okay, maybe that’s a stretch, but you get the idea, yeah. Unbelievable? Yes. Inconceivable? Perhaps.

Edyme sees himself as a fairly reasonable guy, albeit a bit stubborn. Normal to you is not to him. He is not the one to take the easy road, and why would he? That’s just not the way he roll. He has these favorite lyrics from NF’s “Clouds” that resonate deeply with him: “What you think’s probably unfeasible, I’ve done already a hundredfold.”

PS—Edyme is HIM. HIM-buktu. Him-mulation. Him-Kardashian. Himon and Pumba. He even had his DNA tested, and guess what? He’s 100% Him-alayan. Screw it, he ate the opp.

Solana Trader Makes 307x Profit But Investors Raise The Alarm | MATIC News

Over the weekend, a crypto trader turned 70 SOL into $3 million with a Solana-based token. However, the investor’s success story was overshadowed by the controversial launch of the memecoin that made it possible.

Trader Makes $3 Million In Minutes

A crypto trader made millions in 30 minutes after investing $9,923 in Solana-based memecoin BAKED. Lookonchain reported that a sniper spent 70 SOL to buy 81.78 million BAKED. 30 minutes later, the trader sold his holdings for 21,581 SOL, worth around $3.06 million, in 76 transactions.

The feat was achieved by a seemingly “lucky” trader who previously invested and lost money in other Solana memecoins. The on-chain analysis platform concluded that the investor was likely not an insider as it had bought the tokens from Raydium’s pool instead of the Degen Fund.

However, Lookonchain revealed that BAKED’s team and insiders hold over 70% of the supply. Per the report, the dev wallet spent 11.82 SOL to buy 300.72 million BAKED from the Degen Fund, where the token was launched.

The wallet bought the Solana memecoin “while minting tokens and 206.9M $BAKED was added to liquidity.” 19 wallets snatched up the remaining 492.37 million tokens in one second.

These wallets were created simultaneously with the dev wallet and were funded by Bitget. 15 out of 19 wallets withdrew SOL from Bitget three days ago and are suspected to be linked to BAKED’s team and insiders.

As a result, 78% of the supply, worth around $15.6 million, was held by insider and dev-related wallets. The wallets spent 82.4 SOL, around $11,700, to buy 779.85 million BAKED before selling.

At the time of Lookonchain’s report, the insiders had sold a small portion of their tokens and still held 76.36% of the supply. BAKED has plummeted by 58% in the last 24 hours, currently trading for $0.01260.

Is The New Solana Token Launch Baked Or Burned?

Crypto investors refuted the claims that the “lucky” sniper was not an insider and expressed discontent with the Solana memecoin launch. Additionally, users have called the BAKED token a scam due to an alleged lack of transparency.

GUMMY investors were supposed to earn a 15% reward on BAKED tokens for staking their tokens on July 1. However, users reported they did not receive any reward after unstaking their holdings.

According to Web3 Forensics, users successfully unstaked their GUMMY tokens but no investor had been able to get BAKED rewards by Monday morning. One investor considers the project’s team “held our $GUMMY hostage so we couldn’t profit off of the $BAKED launch.”

Moreover, many users highlighted that GUMMY’s value has significantly decreased since they staked their holdings. Per the reports, every $1,000 staked in the token is now worth around $140.

Many believe that the team behind the Solana-based tokens, including Crypto Banter’s founder Ran Neuner, used “every single investor or Community Member who trusted you.”

On the official telegram group chat for the token, the team asked investors to “calm down” and “relax.” The team assured the project was not a scam and explained that none of them “got an early entry.”

Moreover, the message stated that a higher price for the token meant a “better valuation for your gummy airdrop” and that the airdrop details would be announced soon.

Ultimately, the launch didn’t receive a positive response. Several users stated they would “get away” from the GUMMY, BAKED, and Crypto Banter community as quickly as possible.

Shiba Inu ‘Underbought,’ While Bitcoin ‘Overbought’ Recently: Santiment | MATIC News

According to this metric, the on-chain analytics firm Santiment has revealed Shiba Inu has been underbought recently, while Bitcoin is overbought.

MVRV Z-Score Suggests Shiba Inu Has Been Undervalued Recently

In a new post on X, Santiment has discussed how some of the top cryptocurrencies are looking like right now on their MVRV Z-Score. The “Market Value to Realized Value” (MVRV) refers to a popular on-chain indicator that keeps track of the ratio between the market cap and realized cap for any given asset.

The realized cap here is a capitalization model that calculates the total valuation of the cryptocurrency by assuming that the ‘real’ value of any token in circulation is equal to the price at which said coin was last transacted on the blockchain.

Related Reading

As the previous transaction of any coin was the last time it changed hands, the price at its time would denote its cost basis. Thus, the realized cap is a sum of the cost basis of all tokens in the circulating supply.

Put another way, this model measures the total capital the investors used to purchase the asset’s supply. The market cap, in contrast, keeps track of the value these investors hold. As such, the MVRV, which compares these two metrics, tells us about the profit/loss situation of the investors as a whole.

In the context of the current topic, the actual metric of interest is the “MVRV Z-score.” This indicator takes the difference between the market cap and the realized cap and divides it by the standard deviation of the market cap over the asset’s entire history.

Now, here is the chart shared by Santiment that shows the trend in this indicator for various coins in the sector:

Looks like Shiba Inu and Uniswap are in the underbought territory right now | Source: Santiment on X

Based on the MVRV Z-Score, Santiment has defined three zones that relate to how far from its fair value the asset is. The chart shows that Shiba Inu (SHIB) and Uniswap (UNI) have had the indicator at -1.55 and -1.96 recently, putting these assets inside the ‘underbought’ territory.

At these MVRV Z-Score values, the market cap is significantly lesser than the realized cap, meaning investors are widely lost. Generally, profit holders are a more likely source of selling pressure in the market, so when there are few of them left, price corrections can become less probable.

Related Reading

This is why assets are considered undervalued when the indicator drops below the -1 level for them. Due to a similar reasoning, values above 1 correlate to the coin being overvalued.

Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Toncoin (TON) have recently been inside this latter territory, suggesting that their prices could be in danger of seeing bearish action. Shiba Inu and Uniswap, on the other hand, could be better set up for a price surge.

At the time of writing, Shiba Inu is trading around $0.0000171, up 2% over the past week.
